Lab Offences
Students caught breaking these rules in DIS laboratories risk having their account suspended
- No food or drink
- No playing music through the speakers
- No moving chairs
- No playing games
- No leaving workstations unattended
- No locking of workstations
- No sending spam mail to an email account/list
- No refusing to leave when asked by the demonstrator
Lab Policies
The following policy applies for students that are caught by Helpdesk Staff breaking lab rules:
- First Offence (First suspension): Your account will be automatically suspended for 7 days by the Helpdesk staff member.
- Second Offence (Second suspension): Your account will be automatically suspended for 2 weeks. You will be required to see Daniel Cook (5.41), the Helpdesk Manager, before your account is enabled. There will be no exceptions to enabling the account prior to this time.
- Third Offence (Indefinite): Your account will be automatically suspended indefinitely. You will be required see to Daneil Cook (5.41), the Helpdesk Manager, before your account is enabled.
These suspenion levels will proceed, even if you have been caught committing a different lab offence, compared to your previous offences.
Note: At the start of each year your previous suspensions will be removed from your account.to top
