This software agreement provides access to most Microsoft Operating Systems, Applications and Development Tools.

MSDNAA rules, restrictions and all software included within the program are detailed here

Students who wish to access specific programs under this agreement, can make a request for this using Remedy

Tech Services can then make the required software available, for student "coursework and personal projects".

The Department has a number of free software programs available for Students, a small selection is listed to the left.







Students should lodge a Remedy request if the software needs Administrator rights to install.

Licensed Software

The Department also has a number of licensed software programs available, which require a license to be purchased, before they can be installed.







These purchases are generally made using the Research Funds of the RHD Student's Supervisor.

Students can find further details on the specific licensing agreements for many different software packages here

Students must first lodge a Remedy request, if they wish to install this software.







Other software may be requested if it is required for student research, but must first be approved by the RHD Student Supervisor.

Standard Software

 The standard software installed on all RHD machines is listed here

Lab Software

 The software installed as standard for the current Semester can be found here

Windows Virtual Machine

 A Windows XP Virtual Machine image is available to students for testing and development purposes. This is a fully functional Windows XP virtual machine, which contains all standard DIS applications and settings. A user guide which explains the common functions can be found here. Student who need access to the Virtual Machine, should lodge a Remedy request.
