Health Informatics

The Health Informatics Network is a formally designated interdisciplinary Steering Committee of the University and was initiated in 2006 by the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and by the Department of Information Systems in the Faculty of Science.

It integrates expertise in medical and health sciences specialties, information systems and technology, management and policy, economics, psychology and sociology.

The network supports cross-disciplinary science and technology approaches to addressing emerging and complex information and communication issues in health and biomedicine.

It facilitates collaborations with health and ICT professional organisations, health service providers, health technology developers, government and community agencies and educational institutions.
