I am a PhD student with the Interaction Design Group at the Department of Information Systems. My main area of interest lies with the involvement of children in the design of technology for children. I am currently working towards an understanding of the different roles played by children in the design process, ranging from a less to a more participative position. In particular I am looking at the design of educational products, which place some specific demands in the way children take part in the design process. I am also interested in designing methodologies and techniques that support full participation from children while taking into account their special characteristics, needs and requirements. I am being supervised by Associate Professor Steve Howard and Dr. Frank Vetere. |
