Other electives: flexibility
Instead of following a career track elective sequence you are free to choose any four subjects on offer within the Department of Information Systems or a combination from the department and from an approved list from elsewhere in the university including the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, and the Faculty of Engineering. You can study up to a quarter of your degree outside the Department of Information Systems.
Faculty of Economics and Commerce
Start small
With the MIS, you don't have to start with the masters to end with it. With options of studying just one subject, or one of our pathway postgraduate certificates, you gain tangible benefits early and leave your options open. Popular subjects are IS Commercial and Professional Practice, Emerging Technologies and Issues, and Impact of Digitisation - but you can choose any for which you are qualified.
