The Department of Information Systems at the University of Melbourne is offering a limited number of scholarships (stipend $4,000) to entrants to the Bachelor of Information Systems (BIS) Honours course.
All entrants to the BIS(Hons) course are eligible and the scholarships are competitive. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of excellent academic achievement in Information Systems at the undergraduate level.
The scholarship will be awarded to the BIS (Honours) course entrant who has achieved the highest average grades in third year level Information Systems subjects. Those average third year level grades must be in the First Class Honours (H1) range.

Summer Studentships in Information Systems
Incoming Bachelor of Information Systems Honours students and Master of Science (Information Systems) students are invited to apply for $2000 Summer studentships, for work over the summer of December 2009 - February 2010.
Working hours can be negotiated with the relevant supervisor but it is envisaged that you do two to three days a week work for eight weeks, when both student and supervisor are available over the summer break. The positions are competitive based on merit and are designed to give incoming Honours and MSc (Information Systems) students some preliminary research experience, possibly in a topic area that they will continue to research when they commence their research degree. A successful student will have the chance to nominate the research topic they are most interested in for the Summer Studentship.
Please complete the form below and submit it to Dr Reeva Lederman by 30 November 2009, by posting to DIS or by submitting it by hand to the DIS office, 4th floor ICT building, University of Melbourne, Vic 3010.
