Our academics can talk to students about IT courses and careers
Top IT experts from the Department of Information Systems are keen to talk to school students about all their options for tertiary study in IT, as well as the vast career opportunities open to them, from web development, to business analysis, to the emerging world of health informatics.
We can also offer a guest lecture, or masterclass, giving your students a valuable insight into some of the fascinating new IT research being conducted at the University. Topics such as how mobile phone technology is being used to help people quit smoking, and the intriguing world of online social networks and the social and cultural impacts they are having.
Alternatively, teachers may like to arrange for their class to visit the Department, where they can get a taste of University life and experience first-hand our world class facilities, such as our Interaction Design Evaluation and Analysis (IDEA) Lab, for usability testing.
Please do not hesitate to contact Louisa Wilson if you would like to arrange a school visit for 2011.
